Update on FEF’s Progress

By Glen Allen, Esq., FEF President

      With gratitude to FEF’s supporters, Glen Allen provides the following update:

The last year has been one of significant progress for FEF.  Here are some specifics:

First Amendment Litigation, Consultations, and Financial Support.  During the last year, I and other attorneys under FEF’s auspices have litigated five major dissident right free speech and association cases, provided significant and repeated consultations in a great many others, and provided financial support to several victims of the Thought Control Police.  My time spent on FEF matters during the last three weeks is representative of my time spent during the last year:

  • I worked on an appellate brief on behalf of Nathan Damigo in a bankruptcy case in which Roberta Kaplan and her minions are attempting to prevent Nathan from discharging the onerous and unfair $3 million judgment imposed on him in the Sines v. Kessler Unite the Right litigation;
  • I worked on an appellate brief in the case we (Fred Kelly, Randy Sheppard and I) brought on behalf of Matthew Jacobs and Micheal Weaver against Douglas County, Georgia Sheriffs and other government officials who arrested Jacobs and have a warrant out against Weaver for “littering” based on Jacobs’ and Weaver’s distribution of flyers criticizing Jewish power (a copy of our reply brief is attached);
  • I worked on a motion for oral argument in the appeal I filed to the District of Columbia Court of Appeals in Kuriakose v. Metropolitan African Methodist Episcopal Church, a case in which  Mr. Kuriakose was sued for civil conspiracy based on his protected First Amendment activities (a copy of the motion is attached);
  • I responded to inquiries from nearly a dozen Blood Tribe members who have been served with subpoenas by the Paul Weiss law firm after the BT members had been doxxed a month ago.  I attempted to find attorneys to represent them, a difficult endeavor given that the BT members are from multiple states and most lawyers will not touch such cases;
  • I responded to two different inquiries from public school teachers who have been fired or suspended based on politically incorrect social media posts, even though they were exemplary teachers and the posts were made on their own time after school hours.  FEF sent a small grant to one of the teachers to help with his living expenses.

Mentorship and Scholarship Support for Law Students Who May Help FEF in the Future.
I as FEF President and other sympathetic attorneys have been mentoring four law students, all of whom are committed to FEF’s goals and are academic high achievers. One of them will be an intern for FEF this coming summer.

Attorney Network.
FEF has continued to build out its list of attorneys around the country who are sympathetic to FEF’s aims and in many instances amenable to serving as local counsel or helping FEF find local counsel.  There are now about 20 attorneys on this list.

Increasing Financial Solvency.
FEF has been making significant progress in its efforts to remain financially solvent. I intend to vigorously continue FEF’s fundraising outreach. Thanks to all who have contributed!

As always, FEF greatly appreciates the moral encouragement and financial sustenance it receives from its donors and supporters.
